OpenGL on Dell Latitude C600

Thread Starter
New to this forum, and this is my first post. Hope I have the drive to keep posting here.

I'm looking for a way to run Quake III on my Lat C600, and have come up with nothing. As most everyone knows, Quake III uses OpenGL rendering. I looked around for alternative drivers for the ATI Mobility 128 AGP 2x, and came up with nothing. I would like to play Quake III on this laptop so I can show off my homemade maps. And I have a rather low budget (Actually, no budget... I just bought this laptop for $400 on Overstock and I have no job and I'm just getting my licence and therefore a car), so I can't buy much.

Any suggestions?

Err...can you explain why you are not able to run Quake 3? Are you installing and there are errors? Or...what? I am kind of confused here.

check http://www.geocities.com/ziyadhosein/rage128.htm you might have to try different driver versions and google some more if none works. i remember going through the same thing before i sold my c600 for $400 years ago.

Hi

1- Try to run the system on 16 bit instead of 32, it should work.

2- You can also try to upgrade the BIOS from Dell.com if their drive simply doesn't work

This may help
