Looks like a sweet deal to me

I know what you will be doing over the Christmas Hollidays. The wait will not be that long. These guys get systems out the door faster than anyone else by far.

Congrats

Even faster then a psychotic walmart shopper running inside to snatch a doorbuster after standing outside for 6 hours in the snow to get a $600 laptop running lindows? lmao

But seriously...if you ordered a Sager today that would be mighty close whether or not it would arrive before x-mas or not...

The major reason i went with this as opposed to the 5680 is that i spend a lot of time in my car inbetween classes watching movie... speaking of which, i hope the sound card is decent so i can feed it into my car audio system,
quake 3 rockets hit quite hard on 15 inch subs ;p

Thank you Pinkfloydfan. I am nervous but hopefully optimistic what with the pixel and now the capacitor/ethernet issues. The latter seems to be endemic to the 5680 series unfortunately. I wonder if the capacitor issue is related to the global issue of bad capacitors due to industrial espionage. For those who aren't familiar, the formula for the fluid inside capacitors was stolen then implemented by others. The problem is that the stolen formula was incomplete!

Thanks for the welcome, Gargoyle.

I outfitted mine as follows:
UXGA screen,
no painting,
2.8 GHz Proc,
1 GB RAM,
5400 60GB HDD,
bracket for 2nd HDD (for later expansion )
Internal Wireless,
Internal Bluetooth,
DVD/CDRW

Trying to equip it for easy upgrade later, for handling work and gaming with equal aplomb.

Oh, and to all you regular posters, thanks for convincing me that Sager was the way to go!
