My 3Dmark scores suck

Thread Starter
Why is there such variability in the 6800 card in the XPS? Now, I have reformatted, cut out the DELL crap, newest drivers (didnt forget the chipset drivers), and am running drivers from laptopvideo2go, and my scores still aroung 4600 -- any other ideas what I'm doing wrong? I've read many other posts on this before, but dont really get the variability....

BTW the card is not OCed.

thanks for any help.

The laptop tweaking guide is great too!

have you set the video quality in the control panel to High Performance? If not then try that. with my 9300 at the defaullt of Quality, I got 3950 and with it at High Performance I get 4300.

Power Strip i can do higher (390/830) but i have a lot of artefacts then

I count on artifacts problem than just performance because it is more important that you don't bust your card.

If you leave it at high clock with artifacts... the risk is very high.
