Keyboard not working!

Hey Guys,

I got a problem with my Acer Aspire 1355LC and hope I can get some help here! My keyboard on my laptop is not working. Better say, if I push two buttons in the same time it will write something but not the letter I pushed! I haven’t seen anything like this before therefore I thought I see if anybody here will be able to help me! I ruled out the possibility of a bad keyboard (installed a new keyboard) and the possibility of a bad Win XP installation (swapped the hard drive with a Win 98 installation)

Anybody any ideas what that could be? On the tech. support prints I can see that the keyboard plugs into the VGA board! Is that board bad? Why is everything else working?

Can you boot to DOS (Command Prompt) or enter the BIOS?
Test the keyboard there... DOS would be better as you can test everything, the BIOS will be limited as to hoe many keys you can test...
This should help determine if it's a hardware or software issue...
Could even try safe mode...
