HOW-to update mobile graphics card drivers (if you tried everything)

OK everyone, i have an L2000 and a ZD7000 but i HaD a problem with the ZD7000. i had not the least idea where to get the latest graphics card drivers (latest nVidia forceware/drivers etc.). for some odd reason when i dl the 77.77 or ANY update from their site and open the setup, it says sorry no hardware compatible with these drivers are found. so, if there is no way u can update your mobile GPU drivers, just right click My Computer -> Properties -> Hardware (tab) -> Device Manager (button) -> double left click display drivers to turn the positive sign box to negative, then right click your GPU/IGP then click Update Driver. Let windows update search for the drivers and if it asks you for a location of software just click the automatic one not "let me choose where" I did that after hours of looking for a way to update my ZD7000 Go5600 64MB video card drivers, and after it did, it does S O M U C H BE TT ER . ran BF2 like a charm and now i can play all my games at higher res and high grafix without slowin down. BIG performance jump.

Or do it the easy way...

Goto www.laptopvideo2go.com and download the driver file and INF file for the specific driver.

Run the driver, it will extract all the files to a directory, (it'll be same name as the driver file version number). Copy the INF file into that directory overwriting the file already in there. Run setup.exe and it will do everything for you.

The site also has much newer drivers that aren't public release on Nvidia's site.

yes ur perfectly right and the only reason i didn't metion laptopvideo2go is because my ZD7000 didn't want to log into it after a while; it kept asking for a password and screen name..... good call ryououki

I should check if it is supported as I already tried the Omega Drivers and still can“t play. The game just freezes after the intro video, and then VPU Recover tells me that the video card stoped responding.

EDIT:

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS (For BF2)

Windows XP (32-bit) with Admin rights
1.7 GHz Intel Celeron D / Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon XP/ Sempron or greater
512 MB of RAM or more
8x or faster CD/DVD drive
2.3 GB free hard drive space or more
DirectX 9.0c compatible (see video)
DirectX 9.0c compatible

VIDEO
Video card must have 128 MB or more memory and one of the following chipsets:
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 or greater
ATI Radeon 8500 or greater

I have:

Windows XP Pro
P4 HT 2.8Ghz
512MB DDR
At least 16x DVD+/-RW SuperMulti
20GB Free Disk Space
ATi Radeon 9200 with 128MB DDR (it is DirectX 9.0c compatible)

Am I going to be able to play BF2 on the dv4000 with the X700???

You should be able to the X700 is a supported card... I'm sure i read somewhere that the radeon 9200 is unsupported because it uses 1.3 shaders... BF2 needs 1.4...
