if you have any system or laptop long enough, there is going to be problems. It shouldn't exactly (sometimes the situation is diff.) come down to if there was problems, it should be how they were handled. Good service, friendly, helpful, fast, got it right, easy to work with?

Keep in mind that sager has the best tech support for consumers I've and many others have ever seen. This forum proves that. Also from my personal experience I did originally have a problem with my sager. I sent it in. Got it back in two weeks and I've never had a problem since. For me I don't think I'll buy a laptop from anywhere else again. The Forum. The Tech Support. The ease of customization. THe UPGRADABLILITY. And it being always ahead of the competetion and being up-to-date with the latest technology just makes Sagers one of the sweetest things to own.

i've yet to meet a computer, lappy or desktop, that was problem free. ergo my sager 8887. bought in may, it died in august. had it back with a new mobo and lcd in 8 days. my point is, your question and concerns should lie with the support the company offers after the sale. although i've never owned a dell or a gateway, from what i've been told i'd be lucky to have a system repaired and shipped in under 3 weeks(without the costly warranty upgrade anyway). i've even sent an apple system in that took a month to return. my sager is a mean beast and a head-turner, and is degraded in speed and reliability only by the operating system i am forced to run on it(xp pro).
just see how it runs for a few days. i was also experiecing serious stability problems before sending it in. so far so good.

Why should I try to convince you. You don't like SAGER, its no skin off my nose.
Frankly, I'd just as soon nobody else bought SAGERs (well enough to keep them in business and able to produce new cutting edge models about once a year).
So, go elsewhere, try the others. There are plenty of brands and models to choose from. Some of them are actually pretty good. Meanwhile, sell your SAGER and tell whomever they are crappy machines and nobody should buy them. Fact is, you'll be doing me a big favor. I won't have to wait as long to get a new machine, the wait for service won't be as long, and the phones and email won't be as tied up.

The last three posts are a snowball growing to destroy this thread. No one is trolling. But some of you are spamming and not adding anything or helping anyone.
back to topic:
Another thing about sager is its great stance on LCD Dead pixels. I haven't seen one with a better garuntee. 5 dead pixels or less. I think is what it is. If you have anything more than that you can send it in and have a new pixel free lcd screen without cost. Sager is cheap, but doesn't act like a cheap computer. Stays up-to-date with the latest laptop tech. If you got a problem this forum will help you ASAP in a kind way.
Also...we haven't resorted to bashing other laptop makers yet because....well... we don't need to bash other companies because we know Sager is always higher up.

I don't hate sager
You guys got me all wrong, I never meant to say that I hate sager, I am just trying to feel out the situation and decide if sagers really are the omnipotent machines that everyone here seems to think. I have had friends that have bought sagers solely on my recomendation. My rpoblem is that I have now had the same problem with mine twice in the same month, and They want me to RMA it again at the cost of 40.00 dollars to me, I would just think that they would have some type of policy to protect against such things. By the way, my 5670 will most likely not be my last sager, I just want to decide if when I get it back I sell it and buy a dell, or keep it or sell it and buy a new sager

I purchased two 8890's, when they first came out, from sager one had a motherboard issue and was taken care of swiftly, and effectively I was with out a laptop for 4 days from my experiance in the computer world that is the fastest RMA I have and probably ever will see. The other laptop I recived was flawless. And to this day both laptops run far better than had expected.
True, It would be nice if Sager had a policy for paying for RMA's, But few companies do. And those that do are almost imposible to get an RMA from. As for problems with laptops, I have a friend who had a dell laptop (now a happy sager owner) and he had sent the laptop in 9 times over three years (all I can say is the man has some seriously bad luck) at a cost of over $200.00 to him and the laptop was never the way he wanted it.
Many company's hide the facts about the real world flaws and production errors of there products. How ever we sager owners are enlightened, because we have these forums, we have the ability to see the honest truth about the company and there product.
OK. I'll get off my soap box now.

Hate, love or indifferent the situation remains the same. You either think the Sager is worth keeping or you dont. There are a million threads on what the Sager can do and how much people love them. There are also a quite a few threads floating around that go into detail how crap they are.
If you have had the same problem 2x in a month then I would recommend calling Sager and requesting that the problem be FIXED in big letters etc etc this time, and if it isnt then they can pay for shipping. It ay not work but at least they will be aware that you are pissed off and would like some action taken (it worked for me with my issue some weeks back, that and a little help from PCTorque)
I didnt mean to flame you but I just think that constant threads asking people to convince them to buy a sager are a waste and repitition of effort. Your thread perhaps doesnt fall into this category now - but at first thats how it seemed.

god dammit, maybe i did it a weird way, or maybe i did it the right way, i dunno. When i came to these forums i didn't register for about 2 months. I read every single review, looked at every single picture, and read everyone's opinions on the system that i wanted to get. (the 5670 at the time) After doing all of that research i knew that sager was the way to go. I didn't care if i had never heard of them before, because EVERYONE that i read about had a great time and their systems were awesome.
the point of the story is this: READ BEFORE YOU POST. dont expect others do do the research for you.
