52 degree C ... Ok? or not Ok?

Hey all,

I have this utility that measures the temp of my sager 9860

It says 46 degrees C for the hard drive and 52 degrees C for the, I guess, the system.

Is this ok for a Sager 9860? I'm concerned because this program displays a "fire" icon next to these temps instead of a green check.

The program is called speedfan 4.26

I have MOBMETER, it showed a 41C temp and the Speedfan showed 47.8C on my 8790. Don't know that I'd trust that utility. You might try the Mobmeter instead and see what it reports.

Speedfan is a great utility but not as popular with the notebook crowd as mobmeter is. The fire bitmap that appears on the main screen often does not mean much because it depends on the default threshold values for a particular sensor. If you click on the settings button and then the sensor list tab you can raise the upper limits for that sensor and the "green check mark" will return. Speedfan is very flexible but in its extreme usage may require that you use the device's manufacturer technical datasheets to tweak the upper and lower temperature tolerances for each detected sensor.
