New Intel Changes

Thread Starter
I am really big into gaming and using pirated software on my PC. It would appear that Mac stuff is not as easily available to download. I want to know if the new ibooks and powerbooks will be able to run windows software? Or, what changes will the new intel deal bring to the mac.

Thanks

Well, possibly, Apple didn't say it was impossible to run WinXP on an intel mac. We'll have to wait and see.

Are you an idiot?

"I'm really into using pirated software, go me!"

If you're wanting to run (pirated) Windows software inside of a Windows environment, why are you even buying a Mac?

You must live in the US or some hostile country, because in Canada, nobody is going to come to my door and arrest me for not buying my software. If you think that I was saying that just to show off, or gloat, I was stating my reasons why a mac would be unsuitable and would there be any reasons why I would change my opinion of macs. I think mac users just get testy around us PC users because they know that they pay $500 for photoshop.
You clearly are the idiot.

That is so stupid. So you're proud that you're stealing software. FYI, PC (legit) users also has to pay $700+ for photoshop. The difference is that YOU ARE STEALING the software(photoshop).

I don't care where the **** you live, it's still bad form to post on a forum that you use pirated software.

And, believe you me, I know exactly where to get any and all software I need for my Mac without paying for it. As to whether or not I take advantage of those places, well, that's for me to know and you to never find out

That's because we believe in things like laws. To answer your question, Windows will run, but Apple won't have the machines MS certified or give you support. Then again, with what you're doing I don't see anyone giving you support anyway.

However the best story is the one about the kid who had downloaded some hacking tools, and then boasted about his "haxoring skillz" on ICQ, then proceeded to hack 192.168.100.1 when someone told him too. He went offline about a minute later.

Kakaze - what has happened to your rep??

What the f*ck are you talking about? logging some else's IP? sending them to Microsoft?? what the f*ck is that? and the biggest f*cking stupidest thing I have ever seen is someone called themselves a licensing vp and talking sh*t BTW.

Why am I posting this? I found that this was not the best post ever but it's annoying me so much when some random guys just decide to stand out of the crowd and say "I'm a licensing vp, I logged your IP"

To let you, I'm using a fully paid version of windows Xp right now with a T3 connection. Besides that, I have my sources to any software from MAC to windows to Adobe and so Alias and what else? Macromedia. In the past, I got copies of newest software normally 1 month before they are released.

If you wanna do your job, stand back and do it quitely. Many people found the way you did is just way too annoying because all you did was just logged a guy who have no idea what the **** he's doing. People who hack softwares know exactly what they are doing. They have enough money to have a good lawyer backing their ass. You wanna do your job? go for those!

I'm pretty sure IPs are platform independent.

Dude, I live in Canada and I buy my software. Just because there may be no 'laws' that govern exactly what you can and cannot do on the issue of software downloading, I still have ethics and morals. Do you honestly think it should be okay to download commercial software people have spent thousands of man-hours on and have invested millions of dollars into research? Sure if you think Photoshop's too expensive for you, don't use it. Use Gimp2 or something.

There are always alternatives, but don't tell me just cause something's expensive you have the right to pirate it. Sorry to let you in on the real world, but you're not the only one working hard for your money.

While "nobody is going to come to my door and arrest me", having somebody like Microsoft or Adobe sue the living daylights out of you will be an interesting life experience.

Oh, and just to let you know, I've posted this thread to Microsoft's internal anti-piracy mailing list.

Not that you seem to care, since you think being in Canada will protect you.

Oh, as a side note, I'm a Canadian, and I'm ashamed to have somebody like you proudly declare your illegal intentions in Canada.
