Why'd you post that here when you have this same thing listed elsewhere? How about removing it?

Toshiba Satellite A20 and Toshiba Satellite L25 guides

New disassembly guides:

How to disassemble Toshiba Satellite A20 laptop and replace hinges.

The second guide was created and submitted by user LilKevin715.

Disassembling Toshiba Satellite L25 notebook and overclocking the CPU.

Also, on my home page I posted a link to the website with disassembly guides for Macintosh laptops.

I'm curious, can my notebook with the desktop type cpu be overclocked? My specs are in the sig below.

If so, is there links on how to do that?

I understand that my particular notebook runs extra hot. So overclocking would add to that heat wouldn't it?

Yes. You may get away with a "bit" of extra heat disapation by using a laptop cooler, but, it will also put extra strain on your laptop and undoubtedly void any warranty which you may have left

on your page for satellite pro 6100 you seem to have missed 1 wire that is driving me crazy. It is gold colored, on the right side of the top half and connects to something on the bottom half / motherboard. It came out without me seeing where its source is and I do not know where to find the place to put it back! Also the person who opened my computer tore the antenna for the wifi, is there a way to fix it???

Thanks for the amazing job!!!!!!!!

I have included pictures of the wire so perhaps someone can help solve this puzzle
Its the single golden wire we are trying to figure out where to plug it into.

Well then, I'm not gonna bother with overclocking. I don't think it would make my notebook that much faster anyway.
I'm pretty pleased the way it is running now.
I think my test are very respectable:
I got a score of 3666 with the PCMark bench test.
AND
My 3DMark Score 3405 3D marks
3DMark2001 Project Details

Do they have a chart or link somewhere to compare these with other notebooks?

That's antenna cable for Bluetooth card (This card is optional).
On step 4 here you can see this cable on the left side from the memory sticks. If you do not have Bluetooth card, this wire is not connected to anything. You have an opening in the bottom of your laptop, close to the CPU fan. Just pull it through the opening and secure in place with the tape (As you see on Step 2).

More Manuals?

Will you be creating any more manuals? I'm getting an old Protege 610CT that needs the CMOS battery replaced...
Thanks,
Jerry

I create new guides all the time, but mostly for new models.

Cj: Great guides. The website is looking very useful. I have a question for you. I recently acquired a tecra M2v without harddrive or caddy. Do you know if this is the same caddy used in the M2? Do you also know what other laptops use the same caddy? In particular I'm wondering about compatibiliy with the caddy from the tecra 8100/8200 the 9000/9100 or the M1, as I can find these on ebay.

Awesome! I've been wondering what the guts of an M55 looked like.

Thanks for the detailed tear down instructions.
