Great Job!

Many thanks, cj2600! Now I was able to clean up all the vents and the CPU heatsink of my A65.
Keep the good work.

Breathlessly awaiting the A75. I did it all save for the front by the 3 lights. Cannot wait to see how to open that sucker. We soldered the power jack, I have treated it well and it's loose AGAIN. Will epoxy if I go in again.

You are providing a service for mankind. Too bad Toshiba didn't do it long ago.

agree.
also, yestarday i was looking for IBM T21 service manual, so i can change BIOS battery cause computer loses time when it is not plugged in. took me like 1min to find it on IBM site, free, for everyone. Also seen alot of other manuals for newest IBM laptops.
anyhow, i read the manual and seen how to remove the BIOS battery (omfg, i didnt even imagine it will be THAT easy =) ) and since i got manual, i fixed my touchpad button flex (was made by previous owned who lost most skrews and stuff). It is almost 6 years old and woks like it is new (even tho my bro dropped it few times (laptop just kept working, nothing damaged inside, except PCIMCI wireless card broke, RMAed it =) )). i hope Toshiba will have IBM quality in new models =)
thanks for yer time

PS: waiting for A70 manual =) bored of keyboard flex =((

That would be awesome CJ2600. I am really curious as to how Toshiba did the video in these machines. Also thinking about changing the cpu in mine.

cj2600 - this guy rocks...

Any way to upgrade the CPU of an A65? Currently it's a Celeron 2.7 GHz.
Thanks!

New guides for Toshiba laptops.

Hey guys,
I posted couple new teardown guides with pictures:
How to disassemble Toshiba Tecra A1 notebook:
http://irisvista.com/tech/laptops/To.../tecraA1_1.htm

How to replace CPU cooling fan in Toshiba Satellite 1805:
http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptop...at1805_CPU.htm

More guides are coming. I think the next would be Toshiba Tecra TE2100.

I hope it’s useful for you.

laptop disassembly

I think the info would be very useful. Often, screws are hidden under bezels, and it would save lots of time (and maybe some broken plastic) to have instructions. Post the G15 AV 501 tear down instructions.
