Only problem with that is, unless you know this particular link is on the last page, you would have to read thru the who 13 pages to find it. Might be better left on its own below CJ2600s post and supplement was he has done

Good point. I edited the OP with reference to your new post.

Thanks, that may just do it. Hope it works out well for the IBM and other brands as well and that the link stays active

I hope I don't need to use it, but if I do ...

I have a dead toshiba. need to determine if the HD is gone or the MB is defective. More later. Will post a message in a relevent area.

Thanks for developing the "disassembly" website.

I have a toshiba satellite p750, do you have a disassembly tutorial?

i need help changing the keyboard....

Fairly new laptop, what happened, spill something???
Most are pretty well the same...pop up bezel either between the spacebar and plastic edging or between the LCD and the keyboard..then remove a screw or two and carefully lift the keyboard out..mind the connections from keyboard to mainboard
((http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/toshiba-satellite-u305/remove-laptop-keyboard-1.htm)) Starting a frame 6
post #272 of 281

that's the problem there is no bezel.

I'm thinking maybe it's the same as the A665 model???

nah just wanted to change to a backlit keyboard ;)

Looked around and couldnt find anymore info on the P750 dismantle..I guess CJ2600 who did all those disassemblies hasnt got to it yet..maybe zap him a quick email and see if he can point you in the right direction

Take a look at the bottom row of keys (Del, Alt etc..), see if you can pop out the latches. Also on the sides, some sort of clips

cheers ...
could you post a pic of your laptop keyboard just to give us a look
post #276 of 281

this is the pic guys

there is no bezel anywhere that's why i think maybe it's the same as the A665 model???
Might have to remove all screws at the bottom, separate the top and bottom cover to get access to the keyboard.

cheers ...
Does it look like it has the 3 screws on the bottom similar to the A665..If so, give it a shot....as they say, "lettuce" know...lol
post #279 of 281
winknudge.gif actually I like the new design that allows both covers to be separated just by removing the bottom screws. No more bezel prying and popping out - too cumbersome

Unless something has changed in the last few months, what I am not fussy about with Toshibas, is that you pretty much have to rip the whole thing apart to get to the fans to clean them and the processor/heatsink..whereas, most Acer models, the fans are accessable thru one of the panels on the bottom.....
