Mine is slightly scratched and I'd like to either refinish it or buy a new one.

this is NOT A75, but the screen is VERY similar. Just use A70 manual to remove the whole LCD, and then follow the above guide on how to remove the screen itself. So, after u remove all this stuff, u will have what u need (the plastic back of LCD).
Hope all this makes sence.

Thank you! Doesn't look too hard to do. Can the blue plasic back of LCD be sanded and repainted or should I just buy a new one?
Do they even make the blue replacement backs?

Can you tell me the proper way to get the lid off the A75?
I want to refinish mine.
Does one of the other guides you've done cover that?
That is a lot of work putting together those. Do you have your own shop or something?

Did you try the link that Paxan sent you with the LCD removal for the A70. There should not be a big difference.

I'm trying to find on Tobshiba's site where I can buy a blue plastic back of LCD, but don't see it anywhere. So I tried looking for a email address to ask them and can't find that either. They prefer email. I can't do that as I'm deaf.
Anyone know where I can find that blue plastic back of LCD or email address?

Any chance we could get the M55 guide, the M55-S139 actually but I am sure that any M55 guide would work.

Well, I found this place FINALLY that I can order Toshiba parts through, (even though I think it is ChickenSh*t that you can't order parts direct from Toshiba).

On the blue plastic back of LCD, this is the quote:
Jack, cost is $132.00.

K000015900 - LCD Cover Assembly - $132.00.

This would have to be ordered from Toshiba. If you want to order call
or email with contact and credit card info. All parts are
non-returnable.

Thanks

Rofl, thats nothing. New screen for 5 year old IBM T21 costs 350$ USD, plus 50$ shipping (from IBM directly). The same computer with working screen and better specs is on ebay for 350$. =)

Apparently you didn't READ it correctly!
It is NOT the screen, but the "Blue Lid" behind the screen.

cj2600:
I'm looking for instructions on replacing a hard drive on a Tosiba Satellite Pro 480CDT.

I started out looking for a Service Repair Manual but it seems difficult to find.
