hello everyone
the laptop is overheating as the fan never turns of now (in minimal power management mode)(i checked with mobmeter and the temps are around temp1 = around 52 and temp2= around 56
when idle)
, i suspect its due to dust on the heatsink but as the laptop is out of warranty i was going to open it and clean it myself but i have no idea what screws do what at the back or even how to remove thw keyboard, i searched all day yesterday and couldnt find any info.
so i wonder if anyone out there with a aspire 1500 series knows how to open it in order to gain access to the fan heatsink etc?,
also does anyone know if downloading large files (2 gigs +) overnight will damage the hard drive? my friend says it will and suggested buying a very cheap one to download too( as i now have a 5400rpm driveand do not want to damage it)
any help would be greatly appreciated
