On my 4005 the sound is "good" when I plug in my earphones--but it's far too low. If there's anything slighlty loud going on around me I can barely hear what's coming through the earphones. And that's with the volume turned all the way up on the computer and the software.
I don't expect good speakers on a laptop that isn't billed as "multimedia". But I expect to be able to hear well through the earphones.
Why is it that my $2200 laptop does not have 1/3 of the volume of my $60 portable CD player?
I'm wondering if maybe the same person at Acer who was in charge of quality control for the Bluetooth mouse also designed the sound system. :-)
