M3438G SATA hdd driver

hi guys

i have a M3438G but i have a problem about the hdd drivers

they gave home edition with the laptop but i want to set up xp professional, when i tried to set it up, it told me it couldnt know the SATA hdd.

Where can i find the drivers? How can i set up a windows without fujitsu recovery cd?

And the last question is my hdd temperature is around 45 Celcius is it normal?

You will have to download the drivers from web then you can create a copy of XP Pro which includes the drivers using a suitable program, I think there is one called nlite or something simliar.

Hard drive temp, sounds about right to me

I don't think you actually need drivers for internal hard drives? I thought they were just plug n play?

As for setting up the internal SATA drives in RAID config you can access the RAID setup screen by pressing TAB when you would normally access the BIOS screen (ie. during the initial boot sequence).

Yeah unfortunately XP pro does not come with SATA drivers...

Hi. I also have a m3438G laptop and , of course, have the same problem with installing xp pro.

I need the Sata drivers for samsung HM080JI to make a customized version with nLITE. Can someone post them or provide a link? Thanks guys.

I had same problem....

The solution:

Get the installation file of SATA driver of you driver´s cd-rom. (or download the lastest drivers from fujitsu web) . Decompress and open the folder. You must looking folder a folder called " nvdisk" . Those are the drivers

In this point, unfortunately you need a usb floppy reader :-(

Format a floppy, and copy the folder content to diskette.

Install win xp pro: connect the usb floppy reader to amilo, and reboot from cd . Press f6 in the initial load process of drivers.

A menu screen it will appear select "load drivers from diskette" and follow instructions.

When finished, the HD of amilo it will appear in list from screen of partitions, and select to install win xp pro normally.


The other method is ShandyUK. You need the folder nvdisk also
