Anybody try the Duracell 130w auto/air adapter?

Thread Starter
The Dell Accessories site is offering (2) auto/air adapters that appear to be designed for my Precision M70 and select other power-hungry notebooks (D-Series, some Inspirons, etc). One is shown as 130-watt and the other is 90-watt. The link for the 130-watt is:

http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/p...s=19&c=us&l=en

I have used my older 65w auto/air/DC adapter on the M70 and it functions, but I get warnings and I know it doesn't do a good job charging the battery. I searched the site and didn't see anybody talk about using these particular Duracell-branded adapters.

Lastly...assuming they work as advertised, why would I want the 130-watt version when there is a 90-watt version for $40 less...?

Thanks in advance for any input,

I am looking for a 130W Auto/Air or just Air adapter for the DELL XPS 15 (L502X).

I got one from EBATTS.COM (same product sold by Duracell but an older version) for $69+ but when I got it it was 90W which is not fully compatible as you have noted:

1. Computer goes into lower power mode

2. Battery does not charge

3. Some other problems crop as well
