sony bx

hi,
i know this is not the sony forum, but i'm posting here because i think i'll get more neutral opinions here. obviously i haven't seen a vaio bx yet, but i'm really interested in buying one. i know that sonys are more expensive and i could get the same notebook for less moeny at asus etc, but i absolutely love the sony screens, and since my notebook will be out of date in a few months anyways i figured that i'll at least have a kick ass screen. are there any notebooks out there with 15" screens and an x700 or geforce go6600 with comparable screens? i'd really like to know what else is comparable, because i havnt yet convinced myself that a sony notebook is worth so much more money.

I think the ASUS Z70Va refresh has a very good screen. Everyone who owns one raves about it, and 9 times out of 10, the awesome screen was one of the major factors in picking the ASUS refresh over other comparable models.

Having said that, it would be foolish to go by someones subjective opinion of whether the Asus's screen is really good or not unless they happen to own both laptops and they can compare them head to head (even then it would still be subjective).

Good luck, hope you find something that suits you and is not a Sony BX since they are so expensive for what you get.
