I tried to install Fangui I9K 2.2.2 but at beginning of installation I got an error message that read, "fanio driver is not running".

Can anyone help?

Im running it in Vista, most functions work ok...it is still able to control the fans ok though which is what I use it for!

The system tray icon that I have set to show CPU and GPU temps doesnt update though...

I'm using a slightly older version in Vista, and it doesn't update the temps in the system tray either, but it does control the fans. I've also noticed that it doesn't display the hard drive temp either though, not sure why though. I just downloaded 2.3 beta 3 build 4 this morning so i'll give it a try when i boot into Vista (i'm in XP MCE right now).

I'm not sure whats causing it (ambient temperatures, dust, etc) but my overall temps have been MUCH higher lately. My gpu is currently at 53C (it was around 63 a little while ago) and my laptop has been running EXTREMELY hot lately. I wonder if blowing the dust out will help (haven't done it since I got the laptop back in November).

Yea, Ill need to give mine a good blow out soon to...

Although I have noticed my GPU temps are a little higher in Vista because of the extra porceswsing needed for Glass...
