i couldnt find any info on this, but it looks to be a nice product. ive waited for a laptop that was ultraportable, had a glossy screen, and was...get this...black! i know some people may like their silver computers, but i think silver makes electronics look incredibly cheap. i'll post some pictures when i get it. in 3 weeks the customer service guy told me on the phone it's 8-12 days...hopefully my order status page is wrong. here's what i got.

Aviator CX2: Intel Pentium M Processor
2.0GHz IntelĀ® Pentium-M 755 Processor w/ 2MB Cache (Dothan)
Intel 915GM + ICH6-M Chipset Mobile Motherboard for CX2
60GB 5400rpm Ultra ATA Hard Drive
8X DVD / 24X-10X-24 CD-R/W Combo Drive w/ Recording Software
Intel 915GM GMA 900 Embedded for CX2 (up to 128MB shared)
Integrated V.92 56K Fax/Data Modem
Internal 802.11b+g 54Mbps Wireless Mini PCI Network Adapter & Bluetooth
12.1" WXGA High Contrast Super Clear Glossy Display (1280x800)
Non-Operating System Setup (Blank HD). Only Testing and Burn-in
1 Year Platinum Warranty with 24/7 Toll-Free Tech Support

missing ram? they want $175 for a 1 GB stick of PC3200, i can get two 1 GB sticks of PC4200 for the same price at newegg. i also didnt need to get a fast hard drive, either. the system will be used primarily for school work, which is mostly open office, matlab, mathematica, and software development. i hope the linux support is good. i can't wait!

I am very interested in this machine as well for a light, everyday work computer to supplement the EX7. If they offer the Reflexxion paint options on this machine, I would most likely order one as well.

i think they might offer the paint. i was speaking to the customer service guy through the online chat, and i asked about delivery times, and he said it would be 8-12 days for an unpainted system (which did not turn out to be true), but if he mentioned an unpainted system, there must offer paint on this one. just a guess.

*thread title should be pulled the trigger on my first laptop, not pulled the plug *

I have seen the CX2 with a paint job, although it is only on the top lid. If anyone is interested, just ask a sales rep!

is this a brand new system? i ask, because i cant find any info online, and hypersonic's support site has no information at all about it. i would have liked to read about it before i purchased. i got it with the pentium M 755, which intel's website says operates on a 400 MHz bus, but hypersonic tech support says it supports PC4200 memory? am i missing something?
