6000 SD slot speeds?

how fast can this little SD slot read and write?

would i benefit from getting a faster SD card? i have a 4x now i believe, and its dirt slow in the SD slot. crappy enough i get the same speeds when i connect my MP3 player to the usb cable and write to the card through the MP3 player!

anyone know how fast itll go?

60X is the fastest I've seen...but that would only about 10MB/sec.

kinda wasnt my question, but it does help a little. i wanted to know more about the built in SD slot speeds. what can it handle...any ideas?

i transfer a lot of mp3s to my sd card, and i only get about 1.2MB/s using a sandisk SD 512 card ):

takes about 10 min to fill it up ):
