Sorry, mmzmaster, I'm going to have to call BS on that one. I seriously doubt that Dell would go to the trouble of creating a new BIOS to limit overclocking - considering you can use third party software to force the fans to stay on anyway.
Temps are not what limits my overclocks - I had already reached the ceiling of what my GPU could give me before this new BIOS.
The purpose of the new feature in the BIOS? I would have to say to extend battery time. As I've stated in other posts, I get on average an extra 30 to 40 minutes of battery time comparing the A05 to A04.
And the chips won't "melt your PC". The fan still comes on at high temps (for me, 57 deg C for CPU, and the fan is on low all the time anyway for the GPU).
