Again in dm-antalus unless the background has the pinkish sky in it, objects(trees, rock, the big pillers in the middle) in the foreground. I don't get a pinkish outline ghosting effect.

Anyways let me know, thanks.
Ok, I am looking right now at screen on laptop and you're right. This is ghosting. The reds from the sky are taking longer than a CRT to refresh to the color of trees(green) or whatever is being redrawn onto the LCD. I think this is totaly normal, called lag I think. What happens is the previous colors on the LCD lag around till the new colors can be displayed. Because the sky takes so much of the LCD when you move the other colors where the pink was you still see the red hue till the LCD can refresh to the new colors. Can anyone else verify this???

I hope Craig is not going to kill me for saying this but in my experience ghosting does not occur on all LCD displays. I think the reason why this laptop has some mild ghosting (or why it is so noticeable compared to other LCDs) might be the screen size. I have played FPS games on other laptops with no noticeable ghosting but then again those laptops only had 14 inch screens. And to tell you the truth I personally feel that a little ghosting is a small price to pay for a screen that big.

I like the DVD drive I have...I just ripped a movie that I do in fact own to check speed. A 98min move ripped in 17min. My desktop took 33min.

We need some results from some demo's of the new games coming out. I played the demo of Deus Ex Invisible war on my laptop and it stank!! could not even begin to play it at 1240x1024. If this is the case then the laptop I have brought for the newest games cant cope?? arrghhhhh... any ideas?

FYI...Dues Ex 2 is playing like poo on even top end desktops. They've done an awful job with the technical side of that game. Head to any review on any game site and you'll hear the same thing.
