even though i am a DELLoholic I would have to say " " to that question
meaning i can't answer

why?

DELL makes really great products with decent prices, especially the new Lexus line is great (the new xpses)

however for the last past years SAGER always came out with more sophisticated Clevo notebooks more than any other company that uses Clevo (like alienware)

reliable, if you talking about the hardware failirues, then i will have to say that they are both equal, one two person's experience can't change anything

i have used so many old dell laptops and they still functioning well i have also used one old sager notebook and it worked flawlessly

so you won't do wrong choosing either one

How is this any different from your other thread: http://www.notebookforums.com/showthread.php?t=112047

Do we really need two threads about this topic on the first page?

But Of Course!

(not that I've ever seen sager in my life).

Try to ask this question on sager's forums.

I've never owned a Dell prior, and not the Sager. But I might add that I've read that Dell has been making better products as of very recently, so it really becomes a question of "who's making higher quality lappies thgis month?". Know wadda mean?

I've owned both and I believe the Dell XPS Gen 2 was at least 3x more reliably built than the Sager. Every part of it just seems a lot better than the cheap case the Sager came in.

I just bought a Dell 9300. I do love it. But I've only had it a few days. I did however have a Sager NP8880. I bought it in 2002 and had it a year. In that year I returned it to Sager 3 times. When I finally sold it it was having problems and I sold it 3 years remaining so the guy could get it fixed. He apparantly did. Then about three months later he must have had more problems because Sager called me asking about a request for support about that lappy.

It was a great laptop when it worked. But in 18 months time it was reparied by Sager 5 times. Don't know about the year since.

The feel of this computer is as good as the other. It seems to compare in quality. It is larger (due to 17 inch v. 15 inch on the Sager) but is lighter. My Sager was 12 lbs. It was also a battery hog. I had to replace the batter 3 months in (not included in the previously mentioned service returns) and when I sold it it really needed to be replaced again. I could get an hour when it was working right and 20 minutes when it was not.

Now I'm getting about 2.5 hours on this one. Hope that lasts.
