Toshiba SD-R2512, Drive reads all media EXCEPT CD-R/CD-RW

Alright,

My Toshiba SD-R2512 drive works for all types of media (DVD, and professional CDs) except the CD-R (or RW). Blank, or full, doesn't matter. It doesn't recognize that there's a disc in the drive.

I just finished a reformat/reinstall of windows to see if that would correct the problem, but it hasn't. Does anyone have any ideas of what might be causing this issue?

Might be that the drive dows not like the media.

It shouldn't be a problem. The drive has read these same CDs three months ago. It's sketchy to me that it would just stop reading CD-Rs, yet continue to read all other types of media.

Anyone else?
