post #1 of 4
Thread Starter
Just tested my 8890:

PCMark04 = 4460
3DMark03 = 3009

Used Default Settings
From reading the forums these scores seem average
Tested on the free software

8890. 3.0 Ghz. 1 GIG PC3200 RAM. 60 GIG 7200. 80 GIG 4200. 16" UXGA. DVD-R/CD-RW. WinXP Home. Wirless 802.11b. ATI 9600 Pro 128 MB

Any simples ways to improve the scores?

Heh, yeah, just EDIT your post and change the numbers... <drum-snare>

Seriously, I think too many people put too much into a benchmark number. I don't care what my score is, as long as I can play BF1942+DC at UXGA res flawlessly.

Benchmark scores are starting to mean less and less in my opinion...

Element just make sure the chart doesn't say at the bottom "Smaller means better" .

Benchmarks are a starting point (and good for owning lesser mortals ).
