Possibility of using ddr2 module in 8600?

Hi there, I would like to know, is it possible to use DDR2 memory module in Inspiron 8600 notebook? I looked up in the internet, the price of ddr2 memory are somewhat cheaper (in somec cases) than ddr1. What do you think?

ps: Sorry if this question, turned out to be silly Thankssssssss

nope, they may look like the same, but it wont work.. but I just recently looked at D810 model ( looks almost the same as 8600 ) it uses DDR II mem.

before you end up wasting mor etime researching this further. You should know the D810 and 8600 although share similar chasis design they both use entirely different motherboards.

actually the D800 & 8600 have same chassis

the D810 has a similar look @ first, but when you look @ the details, its really different
