I was thinking that too! the z70va is pretty damn light for a 15.4.. but I think the issue isn't the weight necessarily (okay it is)..but also the profile. Becuase it has speakers on the bottom of the screen.
Take a look at this pic of a W1N and a M6 (older Z70)http://www.hardwareluxx.de/Images/In...n/05070027.jpg
they're both 15.4 models, but the M6 is about an inch taller.
as for options.. there's not too many 14" wxga models out there with good graphics cards..
your best bet is the Compal EFL 30. It's got an Nvidia Go 6400, which is equiv to x600. can probably play every game out right now, but not at the highest settings.
most of the major resellers have it.. ISTNC, Xmeld, Discountlaptops, etc..
however I suggest you go to DiscuountLaptops, where it's sold as the Chembook 2030.. they have a nicer warranty..and are very generous on returns (no restocking fee, tho u might wanna re confirm that). good if you dont like it and can go for something bigger.
You might be able to find a Sony S series (even smaller and lighter) with either an ATi 9700 or Nvidia 6400 card for less than 1600. the 9700 model is becoming rare.. and I highly think the 6400 one can be had for less...
there's also the Toshiba M50 or 60 (forgot) that has the x600 card.. not sure how much itll cost, but i havent heard many good things bout that model.
finally Acer is the only one that does have an x700 in a 14'wxga model..but it's not sold in the states..
