Debating 5320 or 3880

I was considering the 3880 but then the 5320 came out and now I don't know which one I should get. I guess I'm just looking for some advice on which one you ppl would go with

If I was to get the 3880 it would look like this:
1.86 WXGA (6600 go)
1 Gig ram
60gb 7200
DVD-rw lightscribe

5320:
1.73 WSGA+ (x700)
1 gig
80gb sata 5400
DVD-rw lightscribe

Now both of these configs cost the same, and the configs are pretty much the same. Actually the 3880 may have a prefromace advantage from the cpu and HDD. Both configs cost $1500 and I'm caught in bewteen these two models. The 3880 has a 4+ hr battery life while the 5320 has a less 3ish (max) battery life. The 3880 has the weaker 6600 while the 5320 has the more powerful x700. Probably wats getting to me the most is the fact that the 3880 has 5 speakers. (not 4 as said on the review) It seems pretty equal to me. All of the places where the 3880 beats the 5320 is made up by the fact that the 5320 has a better screen and is newer.

So, if anyone that has a 3880/5320 or anyone who wants to give any input on this subject I would be extremely thankful. Hopefull after all of this I can finally make a decision. ^_^

EDIT: Anyone know when the "Sticky" review of the np5320 review should be up? I really want to kno the official say from this forum about the review

~Thanks

The difference wont be too much. The WSXGA+ and X700 will be much better for gaming. The WXGA just...not good enough.

I thought the Geforce 6600 Go is roughly equal to the ATI Mobility X700 performance-wise. With WXGA you can play games at 1280 X 800 at the LCD's native resolution instead of 1680 X 1050 (WSXGA). I guess it depends on which native resoltuion you prefer- I like 1280X800 becuase it's high res and not so high that your video card's performance begins to degrade.

Yeah, if you go 3880 I'd opt for the WUXGA...if you can't I'd go with the WSXGA 5320...you can always upgrade you HD later, but upgrading a screen will cost you, you're pretty much stuck with it, I'd take as high as you can go.

With a screen that small....isn't everything small very small to read? For example the 3880 with WUXGA and WSXGA you have trouble reading the font when it gets that small...right? For ppl who have the WUXGA, is it still easy to read the txt?

Hard drive wise, which is the best money/preformace. I'm a multi-tasker and ask a lot out of a computer, and I hate to wait for the HDD to grind. I was considering the 7200 but its soo expensive, is it worth it?

How would u guys customize the 5320 so that it stays under 1600, in the 1550 range.

I use word and research on the net for the bulk of my time, I have no problems reading on the screen at all (15.4" WUXGA) and I don't have perfect vision or bionic eyes either...If you're a multi-tasker, you'll definitely want a higher resolution screen. I have 14 windows open right now and can read them all on my toolbar at the bottom. You get much more space with a WUXGA screen than with the WXGA.

I would go for the WSXGA+ , 1024MB, 60gb 7200rpm. $1636

I would also add $200 for 1 year extension with ADP warranty.

Yea, seriously consider the duel battery. This thing is a power hog and I wish I got it.

Oh, I paid $1561 for my setup. With the standard screen, not the extra high rez one.

My 2 cents...

Go with 1.73 or 1.86
1024 mb
80 gig SATA
1920x1200

And then strongly consider the dual bateries! :-)

When you guys say dual batteries, you don't mean the option of second primary batter...but the accessory 2nd bay battery right? How many hours can I expect out of a dual battery system?
I don't see an option to buy the accessory 2nd bay battery... only a second primary battery. Where is it?

Any idea what kind of battery life it'll get with both batteries in?
The second battery option will be up soon I think. I believe most places say its mid october.

The 5320 gets about 2 1/2-3 hours of battery life with one battery. With two I'd imagine 4-5 hours total.

That's what I get with my 3880...is there some particular reason to get the 5320 over the 3880 then? The Ati and Nvidia card get similar results, no?

Is this the Second battery you guys are talking about?

It says it is, so I'd think so.
