how is the apple lossless cause my entire cd collection is on my mp3 player and coded at 128 bit through nero, doesnt sound that great. above that, the bass gets distorted.
abf, the questions above..
and the answer is no, you don't need iTunes at all.
However XPlay isn't free, it's like $30 or so, but worth it to not have to deal with iTunes..

For all you iPod haters, does any company offer an interface so you can control your non-Ipod mp3 player (i mean interate through playlists and change songs via the car stereo without touching the mp3 player)? My wife and I both have iPod interfaces in our cars (my head unit is an Alpine, hers is a Pioneer).

If you want to copy stuff back and forth, Anapod works great. So it costs a little money. Big deal. You all act like you are 90 years old on a fixed income.

I own a Iriver N10 (1gb) for like 2 months now and I love it!
First of all 1Gb is enough memory for because I delete the songs Im bored of quick and the newest once's I get use up that space, so its not problematic for me. 2nd of all its really small and the weight is only 22gram! Charges through usb if thats a problem for u u can get one of those usb ac plugs(Travel chargers). And most of all the black version look pretty amazing with a reflecting screen and its great.
