When you guys sent in your laptop for repairs...

did you guys had to fax/mail or just show any kind of proof of purchase (like reciept)

or they went by the serial number on the laptop and just fill out the basic complaint form?


cuz im worried i bought a 4005 acer ferrari from the original owner and he did not have the reciept anymore. will it void the warranty now?

browsing one day on acer extended warranties and entering my serial number to find out the basic warranty is till 7-2006 even thought he said she bought it in august/sept.

Hi, nope, here in the UK I was just asked when it was purchased and the S/N....

i bought my8104 in us and had service in new zealand under ITW and all they wanted was serial no, didn't ask for receipt

Here in Singapore

Same as jff1625. They just tracked the SN when I had my laptop serviced in Singapore. I'm thinking it's the same everywhere...
