Looks like a pretty decent 17" laptop, even with WSXGA. However it only has integrated video... for now. If the DV4000 is any indication, they'll switch over to dedicated video down the line. And number pad too!

I've been looking at the Toshiba M60 series and the Gateway 850X series. My next notebook has to have a 17" screen and a numeric keypad.

I'm not a gamer, so video performance doesn't matter to me except as it relates to Photoshop, but this looks like my next notebook, based on what I've read.

200 GB of drive space standard. That means I have plenty of room for my digital photos. I'm shooting 8 megapixel images, so space gets used fast.

Instant On with a PC Card remote. Great for listening to tunes or watching a DVD in a hotel room.

3.5 hour battery life. This means I can actually WATCH a DVD on the road.

Much reduced weight vs the ZD8000, plus a smaller power brick: easier to move between home and office.

LightScribe DVD/RW standard. I don't have to print my CD's on a seperate printer.

AMD vs P4. Less heat, less fan noise, more run time on battery.

Included numeric keypad. Run AutoCAD with ease.

Yup, this looks like the one.
