Oc'ing the 9300's nvidia go 6800

Thread Starter
I am planning on buying a i9300 and i have some questions about the nvidia geforce go 6800 graphics card.
What is the core / memory clock speed that this card runs at?
does it make a lot of difference to overclock it to a higher speed.
Is it a good idea to do so, whats teh risk involved and will my warranty cover it if something goes wrong ?
How does this card running at stock speed compare to a ATI x700 ?

I have just asked similar questions.
The original limits appear to be very conservative so OC makes a huge difference. For me, it's a 30% increase and it's very stable. All you need to do is ask the computer to find the optm freq and set it at that and it should be stable. I think the risk at optm freq is minimal.

x700 has no match with Go 6800. You should look for X800 to compare with.

I think stock they run at 290//690 (dell underclocks them from 300//700, at least, on mine it was like that).
You can overclock thru the nvidia control panel (coolbits). I dont think there's really that much of a difference in overclocking, but if you are a heavy gamer you might notice a lot of difference. I overclocked mine to 320//720, because i dont really need anything higher, but people get them to go pretty high

mine is stocked at 290/590. i think thats the stock for all dell 9300's with the 6800go. I didnt bother to overclock it due only to the fact that i dont wanna stress the card much for longevity reasons. Im pretty much happy with the results with the help of the driver i installed. You should be happy either way and if not minor overclocking to WingZero's speeds above is reasonable.

God of War,

I hate to be a bearer of bad news, but aren't all headphones surround sound? Your sig is big enough to take up the entire page,,,we don't need to know your life story about everything on your laptop.

Hey, I didn't know that STEREO headphones (98% of them) had surround sound!

umm... This is a video card thread... Not surround sound head phones.

think mines 350/735 or so

look in my signature for overclock info/3dmark05 score.. overclocks nicely and is stable as a rock!

Mine is 355/790. Use ATI Tool to check for artifacts after over-clocking.

Umm no Rockinfella2k all headphones are not surround sound. Mine actually has 6 internal speakers in it 1 front 1 rear and a center in each headphone. The typical headphones only has 1 speaker in each producing stereo sound only. Do a google on the headphones in my sig and you will have your answer. And since the length of my sig bothers u and you only that much i will edit it so that its shorten for ur convenience. BTW theyre right this is a thread on OCing 6800gos not on headphones U could have PMed me about ur concerns. Anyhow i apologize on Rockinfellas behalf guys. HE couldve at least mentioned somethin on overclocking to make his post a lil less irrelevant.
