Thanks Jk!! nice apps. And yes the vaio s runs waaaay hotter than this. Another thing is battery life. In both machines, turning off wireless and max battery settings, screen dimmed max would give me 2:42 on the vaio (undervolted with an app) and 3:57 on my PB (3:38 with wireless on/bt off). Thats roughly 1 hour more...and the vaio had a power controller app (Vaio Power something..) made by Sony that also turns off your optical drive when running on batteries. And I tend to use this machine on batteries a lot on campus only using ethernet or wireless. Also I had to load windowblinds and objectdock just to make windows look this good, bringing it down to a crawl. And I had 2GB of ram wich was why my friend agreed to trade with me (as soon as he got this PB he gave it to me, unopened, sweeeeet). Glossy screens (Xbrite as sony calls it) reflects too much for my taste and if your'e into battery-saving use and need to keep your screen dimmed all the way, you'll have a hard time using the vaio outdoors. I still love windows xp (stable if you do proper manteinance) but I find myself using it less and less. Maybe its the fact that you just have to do sooo much for windows to be stable (download antivirus, antispyware, anti-this, anti-that....all resource dependant, and they slow you down so much) that it just bore the hell out of me. So now I have a larger screen (apound heavier thou), sexier and cooler machine, better battery life, the best OS out there (yes better than linux) and two damn nice stickers that I still can't find the perfect place to stick'em. Oh, BTW, he bougth this PB at acsestore.com for $2,057 plus $62 to ship to Puerto Rico.
