What I think is the funniest is their persuasive "why you should buy" pitch:
"STEVE—the ACTIVE PROFESSIONAL Steve is upper middle class, and has a penchant for fine things (ok??). He bought a HUMMER Laptop because It breaks the mold of those traditional high end laptops he uses at the firm,He can sport the new laptop in his black H2, and celebrate the uniqueness of his choice every time he looks at it,It's heavy duty, but stylish.
MARILYN—the ENTREPRENEURIAL MOM Marilyn is an entrepreneurial homemaker and mother, and always on the go.She is the neighborhood "trend setter" and drives a SAAB sport wagon, but is waiting to purchase an H3(oh watch out). The HUMMER Laptop fits her perfectly because It's yellow, like her favorite flowers! She finds laptop's stylish and unique design "artistic", and reflective of her individualistic approach to life, # With limited time for computing, Marilyn chose the HUMMER Laptop because its performance power and wireless capability means she never has to wait for connections, boot ups, downloads, etc. This is especially true when receiving large email attachments from her sister, who always manages to send a photo or two with each email. No time for waiting! With its ruggedized features Marilyn can take her Laptop downtown or uptown, and to sporting and social events with complete confidence that it will be equal to the task.. (wow)
CANDACE— the STUDENT LEADER She needed a laptop that could survive the treks across campus, and be able to be viewable outdoors, where she often does her best thinking and writing. And something that doesn't look like everyone else's laptop - black is so boring. Red is one of her school colors and she loves it besides! (she like work on the 12 inch screen)
CARSON—the COLLEGE-BOUND DAUGHTER She is in upper 25% of her class.will be attending a top 10 school. (umm ok??) Carson is cozy with a select group of friends (the na-nas). (umm ok???) The HUMMER Laptop is just perfect for her because: It's COOL and she loves cool gadgets. She also wanted an laptop that would survive college. She's already gone through 2 laptops in high school, so this one is an early graduation present. It was the last one her parents were going to buy her, so she had to choose what would last. With its high performance, Carson never has to wait for programs to open, mp3s to play, or the hottest music website to load - she wouldn't settle for any less performance (what???). With its wireless options, Carson is never out of touch with the family, or her boy friend already in college. She can even check on concert tickets for his birthday coming up, and buy them online while she's on the bus en route to a swim meet. And let's face it, on her stopover visits to the ski hill on the way to Seattle school, she wanted a laptop that wouldn't freeze over if left in the car not wrapped in a thermal blanket."
Wow this is better than reading Mad Magazine.
