Can someone recommend a good Ebay person to buy the 9 cell battery from? So many to choose from, not sure who's trustworthy. Thanks.

zen313... hoctcomputer = seller that I've purchased 1 9cell and 2 130watt bricks from and they are New Original Dell parts. They work are come in original plastic bags. I'd recommend him for your Dell power needs.

p.s. Make sure you look at his entire list of auctions... as he has the same parts listed in different auctions at different prices (higher priced auctions have all the auction listing upgrades) and different shipping amounts. Look for the 9cell being around 57$ and the 130watt (PA-13 5150 XPS) brick being around 22$. Shipping on each item is under 14$.

Drizek... those parts were 114$ shipped to my door (free overnight shipping thru negotiating). The LCD rear cover is an additional 74$. So total exterior conversion runs 190$ and the interior conversion ran 550$ (7800, pinmod, 2gig ram).

I don't think they offer it other than painting it, you could buy an xps lid or the white 9300 lid.

would this work on the dual-core 9400 ?

I'm betting that the trim conversion would work fine on a 9400 since the exterior seems to be identical to the 9300 and XPS. If you're asking about the 7800GTX, then we won't be able to know until after people start opening up their 9400s.

I know some people might say, why would you do that. I guess the look of the 9300 is a little more conservative.
Has anyone done that? What parts should I replace? Any pictures?
