What BIOS is the best?

Right now I have version 206 on my M6VA, but I see that they're up to 209 on Asus' website. Rather strange that a brand new notebook has a three version old BIOS, huh? Anyway, should I upgrade, or isn't there anything interesting to gain from it? I saw some people talking about more fan noise with later BIOS versions.

Thanks in advance!

Actually, the 206 is the latest bios. The M6VA and Z70VA started off with the 206 bios. So there's no turning back. The Z70V had a 202 bios and I noticed that the fan stayed on more with later ones, I think around 204 or 205. I think Asus thought it should come on more- no one wants to keep the hot air trapped inside right? As for the 209, I think you were talking about the Bios Utility and not the bios itself.

Aha. OK, thanks! I see that now. The version on the website is actually 206 A. There's no A in the BIOS number on my notebook, though. Is this a different version, or just another name for it?

As for the fans they don't bother me. I've got them under full control with SpeedFan.

I believe it's the same version. I thought it was different too- after all, it had a new posting date on it. But when I tried to install it, it said it was the same. I guess when they made the support section for the Z70VA that day and it had a different posting date than the Z70V.
