I've had my 4780 for about 24 hours. I'll give a much more comprehensive review in a few days, along with some pictures, if I can borrow a digital camera, but here are some initial pro/cons:
PRO
- very well built; solid feel
- sleek design; not as big as I thought it would be
- the fan noise is NOT bothersome to me at all
- no dead pixels, nice, bright colors
- wickedly fast computer
CON
- the resolution is EXTREMELY difficult to get used to; i'm disappointed that we can't get WSXGA+ or WUXGA on the 4780
- runs very warm on left side
I think I'm going to return my 4780 because of the resolution. It's a great machine, but I guess I'm more hooked on 1600x1200 than I realized. I enjoy having more on my screen at once. I'm gonna give this machine some more time before deciding whether to keep it. If high resolution is very important to you, then I'd probably recommend something other than the 4780.
