Driver Install Issue

I received my XPS M170 yesterday which came with the 7800 GTX. I have been trying to install different driver versions to help cure an FSAA problem in my flight sims (disappearing mouse cursor on right side of screen). Anyway, if I try to install any drivers other than Dell's, I receive a message which states the setup program could not locate compatible hardware. Is this normal? I read a blurb about the latest beta drivers for the Geforce Go cards are only supported by certain vendors (Dell wasn't listed). Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

You need to go to laptopvideo2go.com and look in the forums. There you will find "mobile INF" files. When you go to unstall your new driver, replace the existing inf file with the mobile version for that driver. It will work then.

To clarify: In the forums you will find listings for all the driver versions. Under each version you will find a mobile inf file for that version.

Here's a painless way to do it if you're still having problems:

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. I like the idea posted at laptopvideo2go. It was easy to just extract the files to a folder and then upgrade through the device manager. I'm still waiting for nVidia to fix their FSAA issues but that is another story......
