which would have better performance - > 100gig 7200 ultra ata or 100gig 5600 sata ? sorry kinda new. Thanks

7200 > 5400 (no 5600 sorry)

but a 100gb 7200 < 80gb 7200 < 60gb 7200 normally
since they are going to have the same density per platter
though the 80/100 is gonna have more platters/sides its overall usage is gonna take slightly longer to deal w/ entire drive

A few people have mentioned having issues with SATA in laptops, you might want to search.

Right now though, the rpm is goinf to make a bigger differenec the the interface.
