it works!!! the atheros card is f'in fantastic!!

i bought the card as recommended above through the ebay seller, popped out my intel 2200BG (which came with my sentia), popped in the atheros card, attached the antenna to the main, powered up, installed the driver, rebooted...and viola!!!

i opted not to get the extra antenna and just try the sentia's antenna and it works so damn well!! i can get FAST connectivity with virtually NO DROPS! one year of owning my sentia and i finally have a true wireless capable sentia!!! i cant believe it!!

i was skeptical at first but i was willing to shell out some cash for what sounded like a possible solution to my 2200BG woes. ive tested it on three different networks with different routers and so far the performance has been KILLER!

After replacing the stock nic, does the Fn+10 still turn your (new) wireless card on and off?

mine is Fn+F2. works before and after.

finally got mine... a ar5004x (5213a) card... didn't get the antennae though.
performance: slightly better distance from my router, but now I can pick up the other nets! LOL

I really dont like dealing with eBay (due to bad experiences with it), and was wondering if anyone else found another site that sells these. I'd pay more as long as its not on eBay.

found out that the acers and toshibas have both AUX and MAIN antennae, but my 244 only has MAIN...

it doesn't say super g though, but I think it's just an even smaller package for smaller (SD-IO) cards...

are there conexant-based miniPCIs?

anyway 11n is supposed to come out next year, so if u have the 11g already might want to wait for that.
you'll still need the router support too.
