Kanotix and Kanotix64 (Debian SID) on an Acer Ferrari 3400 Lmi

Hi Everyone,

I'm a long time reader, but I've just registered.
I just wanted to post my experiences in getting Kanotix32 and Kanotix64 on my Acer Ferrari 3400LMi.
Although I liked Kanotix64, I switched to 32bit because of lack of WMP9 and flash support.
I hope the websites help.

Kanotix is basically a 100% Debian sid compatible distro. You can easily get full support of almost everything you need(mp3, WMV9, dvd playback, etc...)

Installing Kanotix32 2005-4 RC12:

Installing Kanotix64 2005-3

If you need a Microsoft Office replacement: apt-get install openoffice.org
If you need a firewall: apt-get install firestarter
If you need a html editor: apt-get install nvu (You could use the openoffice html editor, it's not bad at all.)

tried kanotix, not too bad, but the fact that 1) it gave me pain with wifi and 2) its KDE i threw it aside in favor of the new Mandrake 2006 (actually using cooker right now)
