Reverting to older drivers - Omega 2.4.96c causing instability

As the title says, I'll be reverting to older drivers. My lappy started crsahing (again) after installing the latest Omega drivers, in Call of Duty demo and in Internet Explorer My lappy stops responding and it seems the screen is melting in front of my eyes

I've been crash-free since Catalyst 3.2 Hope the trend is not reversing itself ...

Typically, many people will re-format / re-install to rid themselves of video drivers... I know I do.

Have you tried the "Hotfix" ?
Have you tried the ATI DRIVER REMOVER?
I have reverted to the 7.93 driver package for my gaming disk. But I am using the new 3.9s for my main drive, and if I turn off VPU RECOVER I don't have any problems.
P.s. I have not installed the "HOTFIX"

What model Sager and specs do you have? Omega 3.6 were very stable for me. Couldn't get anyone's 3.7 or 3.8 to work when gaming (extreeeem flutter). I'm now running Omega 3.9s with no prob other than some pausing (frame rate drop) during gaming.
