Hi,

I'm a new Sentia user. actually i just got this back from the repair shop because of fired mothrBrd.

I just want to ask if there is a CAPS lock indicator somewhere OR does the keyboard even light up?

I cant remember noticing it the first week I used it before sending it back for repair.

thanks.

A green led will light up on the right hand side of the keyboard. Along with the wifi, drive activity, etc.

Thanks.
really?....man...i think my notebook is messed up!
I just got htis back from AW repair shop.

I do not see any led or indication whatsoever on the right side of the keyboard.
It just a plain, black plastic strip..no LEDs!

another one- my TAB key is not working!

i hate do send this back cause it will take a month till we get it back again.

any possible fixes that might work?

Are you sure you got the same case back? It's odd for a lappy to have no LEDS for power on, num lock, caps lock etc. Try the live chat at the AW support site or if you don't have time for that, use the My support History link and send them a question. Doing either will create a log number to track the session if you need to go back to it later.

What's the latest?

My warranty expires this month, and in some ways I am releaved that I will never have to deal with Alienware's repair depot.

Hi!

Well, what's new is.....we're sending the lappy back to Miami.
we just can't resolve it and we have to get the keyboard fixed anyways....

in fact, with all the trouble, i think AW should give us a free upgrade...or a new notebook!

We we're on the phone with the support for THREE hours....AND All the calls from from here (Philipines) actually cost us overseas charges!

thanks.
