Dell 600m Cover

Hey,
Recently I put my laptop in my backpack with a couple of books in there (bad idea). One of my books has tape with pointy ends sticking out of it and SOMEHOW in some WEIRD mysterious way those scratched the cover of my Dell 600m. Now I'm really mad because this was the only and first time I ever put it in there and because of the fact that I barely bought my computer. The scratches are in the cover general area but the worst one is on the silver part in the middle.

Is there anywhere I can go to get JUST the cover changed? I don't trust ebay and I don't think I'd be able to do it by myself... I'm too afraid to break anything. I kinda don't like the Quiksnaps either... they're not that pretty. So yeah... anywhere I can go to get that changed? or are you guys gonna recommend putting stickers on it (ew)

I don't remember originally posted this site, but their prices seem very reasonable.

You can also buy a Dell QuickSnap cover.

You're going to need a torx #6 screwdriver to take out the side screws.

how deep are the scratches?

try some automotive scratch remover (like meguires scratch-x or a very mild buffing compound) and put a coat of carnuba on it.

If it doesn't work....just get the new cover
