Try this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145562
I bought a 512MB versionrecently and it works (though was advertised as CAS2.5 and runs at CAS3.0), is stable and gets much better resonse from the clockspeed boost than the stock pc2700, despite the slower CAS. I put in a GW 7405GX.

I did tried the Corsair 1GB stick before ,i think in spring was then like 235$...Was PC2700 ,2.5V ,CAS 2.5...When i installed it had problems at boot ,blue screens ,dont know why the stick seem to be working but was not compatible with my M6811...Before i also tried the Premium stick from Outpost.com (the post was originally from Thunder_PC) the stick was 150$ and a lot of people had success with it but not me...At that time Comp_Man upgraded to 2GB also, but me never got to my desired 1.25GB since then...
Just order the Kingston 1GB ,http://shop4.outpost.com/product/438...H:MAIN_RSLT_PG we will see how it will work....

Do kingston chips generally get along with 68xx series? I'm considering picking up some PC3200 RAM for my 6805 and currently looking at Kingston's 1GB SODIMMs.

Ok i just put the Kinstons 1GB stick from outpost ,and looks good for now ,boot with no problem ,bios and windows sayin 1.25GB....But now comes the hard part, stress testing this configuration how stable can it be ,i gess the best program will be memtest...But even memtest cant tell the truth because with the premium memory stick i tried before memtest showed 0 errors ,and i was getting unusual freezez and restarts...Ok will try Quake 4 ,AOE 3 and memtest to make sure ,and if my baby makes it god bless Kingston (and Emachines of course)....

memetest+ is a bit more taxing. I like it a little better than regular memtest86. It is based off of memtest86 with some modifications.

Ok my Kingston is taking all the stresses that i gave him the last 24 hrs...Not a single restart ,blue screan ,or memory errors...Still i cant bealive ,because i have had really bad expo upgrading...I hope this is the end of it....Tested Quake 4 and damn , i think quake goes better than doom 3...Played on high quality 800x600 and was getting very playable 20-30 fps in action combat (inside in closed spaces like bunkers etc..had mostly 30+ fps)..I was using latest omega drivers based on 5.10 catalyst ,and R9600 @425/224...
Also Age of Empires 3 is a power hungry game was getting around 25fps and more ,high detail (only shadows on low because this thing slowes the game double)...
And before going in bed left memtest86 3.2 overnight and after 8h running showed up 0 errors...Dam im happy for now ,Kingston owns people ,i tried a lot of sticks, even famous corsair ,only this baybe worked for me (i hope it will stay like that have more testing to do ,will report changes) ,and if i pull out the rebate wuta wuta , Kingston 1GB for 117$ shipped (2nd day)...

The Kingston http://shop4.outpost.com/product/438...H:MAIN_RSLT_PG still working flawlessly on my pc ,did couple of memtest+ and no errors appeared...Real gaming ,applications ,everything works with no problem and combined with my Hitachi 7K60 this baybe outperforms even my desktop..
Kingston owns people and definitely try it, if planning to upgrade your M6811...

S21-2904 SimpleTech 1024MB PC2700 DDR 333MHz SODIMM

Works like a charm...I put in 2 sticks

PC3200 DDR400 memory should also work in these notebooks. Maybe not in both slots, but 1GB should work.
3200 will work in both slots, and would be the only reason to use it (unless it's cheaper than the current cheapest 2700). You will not attain DDR400 speeds unless both slots are changed, or the remaining PC2700 is removed. SPD sets the memory timings at the speed of the slowest chip. Faster timings help very little on A64 rigs though thanks to the extremely low latency of the memory controller.

Wuta wuta the Kingston 1GB stick is now down for only 99.99$ after rebates...Thats the lowest price i have ever seen for a 1GB stick (i gess)..Get it people while it last ,coz this stick owns on my Emachines M6811 and surely it will work on the rest M68xx series...
