HI

I've got Thinkpad R50E and in Device Menager I have 3 Universal Serial Bus...that means that there is third USB (2 ports are on the right side)?

Does someone try to locate it?

Thanks

the third one that you can see is the removeable CD drive.

That is not true for my r50e .. when listing devices in hardware manager by connection the cd rom is clearly connected to the 2nd IDE controller. Maybe there is a way to add internal Bluetooth to the unused USB. I saw that some wifi slots have usb pins that are unused maybe this would be a good starting point.

I will be looking into adding an internal Bluetooth cause I am sick of it sticking out the side!

I looked at the r50e motherboard and mine is missing the socket for an internal wireless card. How lame. I have taken a socket off a broken wireless router with a heat gun... Who knew it would be so easy. When I attempt to add wifi to this computer I will do a lot of looking around and take some high quality pictures so others might help.

When I find that missing USB port I will update this page.

Logitech is selling a usb Bluetooth that has 300 foot range. That is the one I want to install internally. I want to get a headset for use with skype and make that my phone.

It is still a ways out... If anyone has any good ideas about how to find missing usb port that would be great.
