I might be interested for the daughter of our vp of mortgage lending. She's going to school for 3d design and her laptop (inspiron 8600) can't do any of the rendering. I would have liked an amd machine and am pricing out one, but man.. those mid range quadro cards are frikkin ecxpensive. This is a complete sytem, right?

Yes, it is a complete system(excluding a monitor of course).

Don't think I can go any lower than $1100. Parts are brand new!

I will do $1100 with ground shipping. If you want it faster you can pay the difference in shipping cost.

Except Visa/Master card or money order.

Quadro Cards are overpriced and i know you could bios flash the 6800ULtra to think it was a quadro

ps

Wouldnt a P4 be better for Rendering

I cant quite remember benchmarks but encoding type stuff its better anyway

Good luck on the bios flash though I would never do that. That is some crazy experimental modification.

P4 vs what? AMD64, HT, or DC? Either way the P4 3.4 550 HT 775 proc is great for rendering. Look at the first thread. Scored 5924 on 3dMark05.
