FS: NEW Acer Ferrari 4000 (4005wlmi) - $1700 shipped OBO - Will take PayPal or Escrow

Thread Starter
I am selling an Acer 4000 (4005WLMI) Ferrari. It is an excellent machine, but we are moving to MAC's at work. It is BRAND NEW and unopened. We received it as a replacement for a unit that wasnt working a week ago. Since it is new and working fine, we can not return it to the company we purchased it from.

Well, I accepted PayPal for the last ferrari i sold on here, and it cost me nearly $100 after it was all said and done. I would prefer to do Escrow (the most trusted site is www.escrow.com) or wire transfer (from your bank account to mine). I think Escrow is safer than paypal because it allows the buyer to actually view and test the item before releasing payment to the seller. I will also do local pickup if anyone is in Texas. I am in Abilene. I am no fraud, just a person looking to sell a laptop. Please email me with any questions, or if you want, we can talk on the phone. Email me and ill give you my cell #.

I have sold another Ferrari on here and the owner received it and left 'feedback'. That post can be viewed at http://www.notebookforums.com/showthread.php?t=111719 (the buyer is corrado85).

Thanks

- Leonard

i dont have any pics right now as it is in storage in a warehouse. this is why i am willing to do escrow, so you have time to verify it and make sure it is as described.

Right , Leo, but escrow is a long process. u mail a check to them, they hold it for 10 days to verify the funds, then you mail the lappy, another 6~10 days, and it would really suck if u find something wrong w/ it and decide to send it back after all that. talk about wasted time dude!

I only mention the pics because the last Ferrari had paint on it.

disclaimer: this is not thread crapping so (u know who u are) breathe slowly and unclench.

Leo was more that forthwright in his last transaction and he even supplied pics to show the paint droplets, which were not a big deal and the lappy sold and the buyer reported that he was very pleased with it.

I am not insinuating anything, Leo has been very honest and upfront.
/disclaimer.

So i think what I'm asking is, is there anything physically wrong with it (or otherwise ofcourse)?

i can understand, but if you pay with credit card, then there is no wait there. and shipping does not take 6-10 days. ground services are 5 days at the most with Fedex or UPS. This laptop is brand new and in perfect condition. it is still factory sealed. No blemishes or defects.

Just an FYI
Paying with a credit card doubles the escrow charge..

it is true that the credit cards are more expensive to accept. i would split the costs if you were to pay that way... they also accept wire transfers, which clear instantly.

I just got the laptop yesterday. I paid through COD and the laptop was brand new sealed. Its just as if you would buy from any retail location. I am very happy with the transaction and would do business with Leonard any day.
