Any chance for a DELL section of the site?

Thread Starter
With all of the discussion of Dell notebooks, I was thinking that it might be a decent idea to create a Dell section on the talknotebooks.com site. Alienware and Toshiba already have their own sections and I know for a fact that Dells are spoken about alot more than Toshibas.

Anyways, this is just an idea...I don't know if it's been mentioned before. I love these forums and I think they could be improved even more with the addition of a Dell board. What do you all think?

Again, thanks Adam for this forum.

Good suggestion...you forgot to sacrifice a banana to the Moderators though eheh

I support that! Anything that brings more order to the world...

I support that also. These forums have really helped me decide on my Dell purchase. A dell section would make things more organized.

We'll see... it seems to make sense to me, I'll speak with Adam about this.

Even a section for just the Dell 5100, 5150, and 8600 would be great!!

Yes, we're about to change the forum name over to "www.notebookforums.com" where we will add new sections and make it an even more general forum for people to compare different brands of laptops and then some. This is one of the big reasons we needed to upgrade the forums to allow members to minimize sections they don't want to see... there will be a lot of sections.

Still looking for the Dell section

Hey Adam, I think a lot of us really like the photos of people's laptops, but many people have no place to host them. You definitely need to host them yourself here. It should be easy to support the bandwidth as long as people only host pics of their laptops (and not off-topic images), especially since this is a PC Torque site (a for-profit company).

I do think the changes to the site are very good. When looking for sites related to Sagers and other performance notebooks, I found basically nothing, except for this site. Reviews of such laptops are very rare, and there's no discussion forums for them.

You could go to 50megs.com and get your own space to host.
You get 50 megs of space for free.

Well, one can upload things now... not sure what the limits are, and it's not as good as an in-line image, but it also is one solution.
