Has anyone heard when the newly released m70's will be hitting the stores? Specifically I'm waiting for Future Shop to get the SR6.

i've practically been checking Futureshop and Bestbuy's website hourly...no signs yet

I've also tried to ask a sales at Futureshop about the M70-SR6.....he looked so clueless, it seems like I'm the employee and he's the customer.

is it true that M70 will be thicker than M40 ? ( DIMENSIONS)
It's pretty thin, I have seen it. Should be about the same thickness as the old M40.

Well the exterior should be pretty much identical to the SR3 which is already in stores.

the 5xxx series is dead and gone... there wont be a new one like that any time soon. besides the m70 is prettymuch the same as the 5205 was when it was out, in terms of where it sits in the market and who it is intended for.
omg......i forgot to check last night.....and it came out

M70 futureshop exclusvie...$1699, that's a hot price
post #15 of 108
oh btw, the model number is (M70-FE5)
correct...the exclusive is the

$1999
PSM71C-SR600E - PentiumM750(1.86)/15.4W w/ Trubrite+/512+512(DDR2)/100G(SATA 5400)/DVD-Supermulti+-R(DL)/ATI X700 128MB

$1799 Futureshop only
PSM71C-FE400E - PentiumM740(1.73)/15.4W w/ Trubrite+/512(DDR2)/100G(SATA 5400)/DVD-Supermulti+-R(DL)/ATI X700 256MB

Tough choice as the difference between 256mb and 128mb in the X700 is not that big of a deal.

looks like some good specs on those machines...
I bought the SR3 about three weeks ago. It's a great laptop.

But, most part of the 5205 was the super quality of the harman kardon with subwoofer audio. Only the qosmios have the exact power of the speakers. I got a M55 model and those harman kardons arent that great, with no bass, and crappy realtek sound, unlike a yamaha powerhouse.

How big of a difference is there between the Centrino 750 and 740?
